1. Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to Docchi. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our mobile application and related services (the "Service"). By accessing or using Docchi, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Docchi is currently available in Japan and the United States. These Terms apply to all users in these regions and comply with applicable laws.
If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Docchi is an interactive polling mobile application that enables users to:
- Create public polls with two options (text, emoji, or images)
- Vote on polls created by other users via a swipe interface
- View real-time poll results and voting statistics
- Share polls on social media and messaging platforms
- Categorize polls by topic (Food, Entertainment, Sports, etc.)
- Participate in real-time voting with live result updates
The Service is currently available as a beta mobile application (iOS and Android) and as a web landing page. Features may change as we continue to develop and improve the platform.
3. User Accounts
Account Creation
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account (18+ in some jurisdictions)
- You must provide a valid email address and accurate information
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account
- One account per person; you may not create multiple accounts or share your account
- You may authenticate via email/password or through Google/Apple Sign-In

- Keep your login credentials secure
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
- You are responsible for all activities under your account
4. Acceptable Use Policy
Permitted Uses
You may use Docchi to create and participate in polls for legitimate purposes, including:
- Making personal or group decisions
- Gathering opinions and feedback
- Educational or research purposes
- Entertainment and social interaction
Prohibited Content and Conduct

- Contains hate speech, slurs, harassment, bullying, or discriminatory content
- Promotes violence, illegal activities, terrorism, or harm to individuals or groups
- Includes sexually explicit, graphic, or inappropriate content
- Violates intellectual property rights (copyrights, trademarks, etc.)
- Contains false, misleading, or deliberately deceptive information (misinformation)
- Attempts to manipulate poll results, vote stuffing, or use automated bots
- Solicits personal information from other users without consent
- Impersonates another person, organization, or entity
- Constitutes spam, advertising, or commercial solicitation
- Attempts to disrupt or interfere with the Service's functionality
- Involves illegal goods or services

5. Content and Intellectual Property
Your Content
- You retain ownership of content you create (polls, images, text)
- You grant us license to display and distribute your content through our Service
- You represent that you have rights to all content you upload
- You are responsible for ensuring your content doesn't infringe on others' rights
Our Content
- Docchi's interface, features, and branding are our intellectual property
- You may not copy, modify, or reverse engineer our Service
- Poll results and aggregated data may be used by us for service improvement
6. Privacy and Data Use
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
By using Docchi, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Beta Service Disclaimer
Docchi is currently in beta testing. This means:
- The Service may contain bugs or errors
- Features may be added, modified, or removed
- Service availability is not guaranteed
- Data loss, while unlikely, is possible
We will make reasonable efforts to maintain service stability and data integrity.
8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DOCCHI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR USE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED $100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Docchi harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:
- Your use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any rights of another party
- Content you create or share through the Service
10. Termination
By You
You may terminate your account at any time through account settings or by contacting us.
By Us
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may retain some information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

- Cause harm to other users or our Service

11. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any legal disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through:
- Good Faith Negotiation: Parties will attempt to resolve disputes through informal negotiation
- Binding Arbitration: If negotiation fails, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the Japan Commercial Arbitration Association (JCAA), held in Tokyo, Japan
- Exception: Either party may seek injunctive relief in court for IP infringement or urgent matters
You understand and agree that you waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against Docchi.
12. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before they take effect.
Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
13. Miscellaneous
- Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Docchi
- Severability: If any provision is invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect
- No Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right doesn't waive that right
- Assignment: You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them with notice
